A Place in the Woods is a nomadic exhibition platform and collective. They work in natural and public spaces and on the internet, building temporary exhibitions and more permanent interventions, circling the question of what makes a place.

Many of the projects work simultaneously in off- and online formats. A trail camera takes images and streams the works from hyper-local spaces to a global audience, using the website as an archive and an exhibition platform of its own.

APitW currently consists of Jonathan Blaschke, Bruno Jacoby, Johanna Schäfer, Florian Knöbl, Jonas Grünwald, Isabel Motz, Mona Mayer and Steven de Kort.
